You can save time by pre-cooking spaghetti and bringing it aboard in a zip-lock bag to add to the dish at the appropriate time. This saves cooking fuel and time! Do the same with the meat and sauce and just reheat separately from the spaghetti and then mix together for a quick meal.
1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
2. Add the meat of choice and saute until lightly browned
3. Remove the meat from the pan and set aside
4. Add a small amount of olive oil to the pan
5. Add the green pepper and onion and saute until softened, 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Stir in the garlic salt.
4. Add the BBQ sauce and bring to a boil.
5. Reduce the heat to a low simmer and add the chopped meat back into the pan
FOR THE SPAGHETTI:
1. Fill a large pot with water and bring to boil.
2. Season liberally with salt and add spaghetti.
3. Cook until al dente (firm but not hard), about 7 minutes, and drain.
To complete the meal, toss spaghetti with sauce and serve.
Some like to add shredded Monterrey or Colby Jack Cheese to top off the spaghetti just prior to serving!
